In the spirit of holiday, which is just another sheer 10 days away, I think we all deserve a cheesy treat this weekend! I’m sharing a super simple way to turn a block of camembert into a beautiful mouth-watering weekend brunch board. Simple, cheap and versatile, one’s gotta love!

Ingredients
2-3 servings
  • 1 block 250gr of good quality camembert, best in heat-proof wood container
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic thinly sliced
  • A few sprigs of fresh rosemary
  • A few sprigs of fresh thyme
  • Optional 1 tsp of extra verge olive oil
  • Garnishing the plate: your favourite bread good-quality salami & cold cuts, condiments such as (olives), fresh vegetables (e.g. tomatoes, celery, sweet paprika, carrots), and some spoonful of home-made cranberry jam (Oh, and you can MAKE YOUR OWN JAM following this recipe here)
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 180C

  2. Slash across the surface of the cheese block to create diamond-shaped cracks

  3. Snug garlic, thyme and rosemary into these cracks

  4. Put Camembert block on a baking tray and onto one of the lower racks

  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until you see the cheese starts oozing out from the cracked rinds

  6. Arrange the cheese board and serve IMMEDIATELY
